Charolais cattle, originally from France has been nominated as of world’s finest beef cattle. These cattle have demonstrated growth ability, efficient feedlot gains, and carcass cut-out values. With an average weight of around 700 kg – 1,100 kg, Charolais have come out to be among the top meat-producing breeds, rivaled only by the Angus. The rich flavor of this beef comes from its diet, which is a vegetable diet based on pasture, forage, and cereal.

When cattle first arrive at feedlots, they are fed with locally grown grains and grass, consisting primarily of cereal grain and Napier Grass. This feedlot production system typically takes about 60 days until the cattle reach a prescribed finish before being slaughtered and the average yield of the meat will be around 60%. Then, the cattle will be slaughtered at a Halal certified abattoir where the meat produced will then be sold to the market (supermarket, restaurant chains, government-linked company etc.).
